The Rachel Church Bookmaking Basics Box has everything inside you need to learn how to make two softcover, pamphlet stitch books, along with tons of extras to enhance your creativity and make your books your own. Included in the kit are written instructions, as well as a link to a video tutorial, sending you directly into Rachel’s studio, where she walks you through the process herself!

In this kit, you will receive all the materials, tools, and instructions to make two (2) variations on softcover, pamphlet stitch books. In doing so, you will learn fundamental bookmaking techniques that can then be applied to other bookmaking processes if you want to continue exampling your book arts skills.

About The Artist
"Rachel E. Church is an intermedial artist, book artist, and printmaker working in Maine. She has a BA in Art with a concentration in Printmaking and Entrepreneurial Studies, a BFA in Studio Art with a minor in Book Arts, both from the University of Southern Maine, and an MFA in Intermedia from the University of Maine. She is currently pursuing an Interdisciplinary PhD at the University of Maine investigating the intersection of cookbooks as historical documentation of issues of domesticity and gender, and cookbooks as art objects. She is a member of Running with Scissors Studios in Portland, Maine, and teaches printmaking and bookmaking workshops.
When not in the studio, she enjoys traveling, cooking, camping, hiking, and sewing."
